Having the ability to produce products using our flame retardant papers has given our customers a significant competitive edge. After all, if you are producing wallpaper for children’s rooms with licensed cartoon characters, you want it to exceed flammability standards.
Our flame retardant base paper is designed to meet US class A fire rating standard ASTM E84.** It has been developed and manufactured with proprietary additives designed to meet or exceed the flammability requirements of leading wallpaper manufacturers.
Potsdam Specialty Paper Inc (PSPI) has also manufactured customized specialty base papers that are flame retardant and can be utilized in diverse industrial applications.
**Note: US class A fire rating standard ASTM E84 is used to measure and describe the response of materials, products, or assemblies to heat and flame under controlled conditions, but does not by itself incorporate all factors required for fire hazard or fire risk- assessment of the materials, products, or assemblies under actual fire conditions.
